It’s almost Christmas! The house is filled with garland and trees, the shop hums with Christmas tunes, and even the inflatable snowman put on a dance show to keep us merry. It's always a time of busyness—so much to do. The farm may be quiet, but the to-do list continues: cleaning the dormant chrysanthemums, planting the second wave of poppies, and finalizing next year’s growing plan.
With so much "merry" all around, it's easy to feel guilty if feelings of overwhelm, frustration, or simply getting lost in the chaos start to creep in. I get it—it happens to me too. It can be hard to feel seen when your head is barely above water.
But I want you to know that you aren’t alone. I feel this way too. Sometimes, it’s incredibly difficult to know what the next steps are. But the hidden truth is: we are NEVER alone, and it’s our support for one another that helps us through.
I’ve started a project to help us all with those overwhelming feelings—a new way to feel seen and find some answers in the garden of life. I’ll share more about it in the coming weeks. But as you finish (or burn) the last batch of cookies, decide you just don’t have the bandwidth for those extra presents or have to skip one of the many holiday parties, know that I’m right there with you. I’m here to offer a little spot of encouragement as we grow something beautiful together next year ❤️.
May the final weeks of the holiday season be filled with peace and joy.
XOXO, Jess
