Going After the Garden Centers

Going After the Garden Centers

If you caught me on social media this past week, you probably noticed I’ve been on the road, working on my sales game. Mum season is almost here, and we couldn’t be more excited to share the magic of these blooms. I’ve been focused on getting them into garden centers to make them more accessible and known. While it might seem similar to what we already do, selling to garden centers is a whole different ball game. And let’s be real—sales calls are painfully awkward, but I’m not letting that stop me. We’ve put so much love into these plants, and I’ve been hustling just as hard to find local garden center partners to help bring them to you. Of course, we’ll have potted plants for sale here starting September 1st (sorry, no shipping for these big beauties), but we want to see them available in more places than just the farm! That’s why I hit the road, and we’ll be introducing our new garden center partners in the coming weeks. I hope you’ll support them—it really takes a village!

Speaking of villages, ours could use some extra healthy vibes right now. No, it’s not Steph—her recovery is moving along, just a bit slower than she’d like, but in the right direction. Unfortunately, both Rooty and Mackenzie got sick this week. Late summer illnesses are the worst, and poor Rooty has been battling one thing after another. She’s a trooper, but it’s tough when you’re not feeling your best. Mackenzie celebrated her birthday with a cold—not exactly ideal, but nothing major. We door-dashed her some pho, and fingers crossed she’s feeling better soon.

Knowing Rooty and Mackenzie, they’ll probably be back in action and caught up by the time you read this. That’s just who they are. Our team knows when to rest and take care of themselves, and the rest of us always have their back. But everyone’s always eager to jump back in and catch up because we all care so deeply about what we do. And that’s pretty special.

XOXO, Jess
